Our Team comprises executives with experience investing in and managing Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Coach, Tumi among other leading brands. Our philosophy focuses on developing brands digitally first, with a brick-and-mortar presence that focuses on unique customer experiences to reinforce brands. With executives who have led operations in China, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, we have a proven ability to help brands grow internationally. Finally, we target new and emerging brands led by diverse founders, as well as brands that are socially responsible.

Financial Services
With experience in commercial banking, investment banking, insurance, private equity, venture capital and digital assets, our team sees financial services as the infrastructure of commerce. We are particular interested in the potential for financial technology (“FinTech”) to provide greater access to populations that have been left outside of the global economy.

Having invested in classic healthcare concepts including hospitals as well as spa/wellness concepts, Our Team views health and wellness to be complimentary to many of our other investment areas, taking a holistic view of consumers, letting them tell us their needs to drive our investment philosophy.

Whether in classic forms such as books, paintings, or movies, or newer digital formats, the Solitaire Team has specialized in signature investments in media. We aim to be at the forefront of media, not only in terms of commercialization, but in the development of new art forms and ensuring that media continues to enrich our lives.

Real Estate
In the course of our careers, the principals of Solitaire have developed over 150 million square feet with a with a total value of over $15 billion. In addition to having developed almost every category of real estate, we advise developers on the creation of mixed use communities around the philosophy of “Live. Work. Play.” This concept believes that all elements of our lives should be within easy reach, affording us more time to avail ourselves of our preferred activities. This is supplemented by our knowledge of amenity-led developments that bring sports, entertainment and other amenities into projects to enhance quality of life. We also believe as set forth in a recent EU report that communities and countries that invest in design and innovation industries will be at the forefront of future economies and we have worked to include these clusters in our planning. Finally we believe that the world’s best communities have at their core excellent cultural, media and food & beverage offerings. We strive to make these key concepts core elements of our projects both large and small, drawing upon our knowledge from the other five Solitaire sectors.
